Carla's Mom (Carla THE Tasting Room Chick) came out from New Yahk to visit this week. Lorraine treated the Crush Crew to an amazing pasta dinner this week, the kind with that slow cooked Italian gravy that no one has the time to make anymore, along with homemade meatballs and spicy sausage. We love Lorraine!
When she wasn't slaving over a big pot of tomato-ey goodness, she has also helped out around the winery. It probably isn't commonly known how those yellow chicken chokers get onto our signature Rubber Chickens. Each choker is lovingly slipped over the neck of the chicken, then a heat gun shrinks it carefully around the neck until snug. Kind of labor intensive, but we like to do things right.
We'd like to thank Lorraine for coming all the way across the country to make us a great dinner - and for the help choking our chickens!

I was disappointed as on this trip, I didn't get a chance to Punch Down:)Doing that is the best!
