This weekend finds our intrepid Wine Pimp somewhere between Minneapolis and Indianapolis by way of Detroitopolis....
Thanks to Tim at Winecast for setting up the excellent dinner the other night at Solera in Minneapolis! Here's his version of the evening.
Next week there will be two events for your Twisted Convenience in the greater Indianapolis area...!
On Wednesday March 14 our local reps Crossroads Vintners will be hosting a tasting at L'Explorateur from 5:30-6:30pm:
L'Explorateur
6523 Ferguson St
Indianapolis IN 46220
317-726-6906
(Someone has to try that "Skate or Die" on their menu and report back!)
Then on Thursday March 15 Jeff at Good Grape, Renee at Feed Me/Drink Me, and Ashley at the Cork and Cracker (an up and coming local wine shoppe) have arranged a tasting at the:
The Upper Room at Broad Ripple Steak House
929 E. Westfield Blvd
Indianapolis, IN 46220
Check out the listing on Local Wine Events. It runs from 6pm to 8pm and it looks like they are collecting $15 to cover the cost of the room and appetizers.
PD then returns back to the Mother Lode for a couple of days. On Saturday March 17 is (naturally enough) Murphys Irish Days - come by the tasting room in Murphys for a special deal on Irish Rubber Chickens!
On Sunday March 18 PD, Fermento, and I scoot down to the city for the Rhone Rangers Grand Tasting at Fort Mason. Then on Tuesday March 20, PD makes another appearance at the Family Winemakers of California tasting in Pasadena (alas, this is a trade tasting not open to the public.)
