Sometimes pairing a wine doesn't involve drinking it with food - just invoking the name can be enough! ("The Second Leaf" is great blog by a home winemaker - the descriptions of the process are excellent, and the photographs are beautiful - check it out!)

We had a great tasting dinner recently at Appetez in Modesto (yes, fine dining has in fact come to Modesto!) Hopefully, a post with pictures to follow soon, but I just had to mention what a great event it was!

Long time correspondent zensolo posted an interesting backstory and commentary on his Twisted experience. I'll let his words speak for themselves!
