Precious Metals

44oz_chicken_nugget ...of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze variety! Not speaking this time of the World Renowned 44-ounce Chicken Nugget (pictured) - but rather a bundle of medals from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Here is the hit parade:

Gold: 2005 Calaveras County The Spaniard, winning Gold again!

Gold: 2006 Silvaspoons Vineyard Verdelho, also winning Gold again!

Gold: 2005 Calaveras County Petite Sirah, in its first vintage!

Silver: 2006 Calaveras County Viognier

Silver: 2006 Sierra Foothills %@#$! (White Rhone blend)

Silver: 2005 Calaveras County *%#&@! (Red Rhone blend)

Silver: 2004 Calaveras County Syrah

Bronze: 2005 Calaveras County Torcido (Garnacha blend)

Bronze: 2005 Calaveras County Tempranillo

I should note that The Spaniard and Verdelho are nearly sold out. I'm just saying!

(Don't forget this Saturday January 19th is our annual Thank Goodness The Holidays Are Over dinner, featuring all barrel samples paired with five courses - and featuring The Return of the Pig Stai - Don't miss it!)

hey, I know where folks can get some Spaniard when you sell out (tee hee!). And according to recent studies, it's expensive so it's gotta be good (actually, it's hella good!).

CONGRATS!

Them are some good twisted nuggets! Congratchy-lations!
